Our client is an acknowledged world leader as an EPC Contractor operating across a broad spectrum of industry sectors. Due to an ever increasing order book and to allow for effective succession planning they now have a strategic requirement for a proven Engineer to lead their Civil/ Structural Engineering Group.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering the successful candidate will take a lead role in supervising and executing engineering duties on front end studies, projects and proposals. This role is a Senior Management position in the organisations engineering team.

You will be a Chartered Engineer with a demonstrable track record in project execution, to budget and programme. Allied to this will be your high level of technical expertise in Civil/ Structural engineering or related discipline. The successful candidate will play a key role in support of the management of the engineering function, accountabilities will include discipline technical management, development of improvement practices, recruitment, resource management, training and graduate development.

In particular, in depth knowledge of the engineering and design of infrastructure, foundations, steelwork, concrete framed structures and pre-assembled modules associated with process plant are all of interest. Together with this will be a knowledge of material properties, design principles, seismic qualification, codes, standards, Euro norms and any other relevant UK Legislation.

Your experience may have been gained across any number of large capital projects, however exposure to onshore gas processing, offshore gas field structures and nuclear processing plant would be an advantage.
